A new cleanup man, and a new left fielder

I run into this problem a lot: I don't want to interrupt the discussion going on regarding the first post of the day, the big picture questions. But let's unveil the lineup here in San Diego. Anyone else staying up for this one? (New Journal slogan: We stay up so you don't have to.)

Washington:
Lopez -- 6
Belliard -- 4
Zimmerman -- 5
Church -- 8
Kearns -- 9
Young -- 3
Casto -- 7
Schneider -- 2
Patterson -- 1

Church: Acta called the move to fourth in the order "semi-permanent," and said that he did it basically because Church and Kearns are swinging the bat better than anyone else in the lineup right now, and Church's OBP is good, and he can be on ahead of Kearns, etc.

Casto: He's going to play every day. They will have a decision to make as to who to send down when Logan returns, perhaps next week. But Acta indicated they could keep Casto as a fourth outfielder, backup first/third baseman.

And look who's leading off for the Padres.

San Diego:
Sledge -- 7
B. Giles -- 9
Gonzalez -- 3 (one of the more under-rated players in the NL, by the way)
Bard -- 2
Greene -- 6
Cameron -- 8
Kouzmanoff -- 5
Robles -- 4
Peavy -- 1

Padres coming off a 17-inning loss. Think Jake Peavy wants to eat innings tonight? Look out.

Again, this is for your info only. Please chime in with your thoughts below. Thanks.
