Forgot to mention ...

... I have days off Friday and Saturday (though Kirk J. Radomski, former Mets clubbie, had a way of changing yesterday's day off, but whatever). Went to game Friday night on my own tickets. Enjoyed a very good sausage with onions and peppers from down the first base line.

Very nice ballgame last night, too, wasn't it? A 1-2-3 inning from the closer. Some gutsiness from the rookie left-hander. Good work from Saul Rivera. And lo and behold, not one, not two, but three runs in the first inning. My goodness.

Not much of an entry. Just a heads-up to let you know I'll talk to you either Sunday afternoon or from the west coast, where the first nine-game trip of the year begins Monday, the last day of the month. We'll discuss then how the first month has gone, and how it matches your expectations, or lack thereof.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
