Rotations, rosters -- in Viera, even better
So Sheinin left me the keys to this thing, and I really want to thank him for filling in so ably over the past couple weeks (though I did have to adjust the seat back to my preferred settings, which took a while). I'll be driving you through the rest of spring training, right up through the opener and beyond (though Manny Acta just told me that the Journal was better when Sheinin was here, which is probably true).
Dave suggested, on his way out the door, that he might post from around the Grapefruit League, and there were some good opinions from y'all both ways about that. We decided last night that when he stumbles across something Nats-related from afar - a Joey Eischen sighting, something from the NL East, etc. - that he'd slap a post or two up. Hope that works.
This morning: Much buzz before tomorrow night's first game - in Jupiter against the Marlins. (Too bad it's a night game, really.) We have some info on who is scheduled to make the trip, something that's not generally for most of the regular players. There are, however, several regulars who will travel.
The pitchers, in order, for tomorrow night:

Other minor things: Acta said he expects to get some of his regulars, particularly someone like Ryan Zimmerman, fewer at-bats this spring than last, when he had 79 plate appearances. They have to balance what the fans want to see with what's right for the kid, Acta said, but they'll err on what's right for him.
Also: Jason Bergmann, who Sheinin identified as a semi-regular reader of the Journal, told me he indeed posted a comment on here last night. He also suggested that y'all ask him whatever questions you want through the comments section. I'll pick a few, forward them to him, and do a bit of a Q-and-A post later in the week.
Reps from MLBPA, the union, are here for their annual spring training meeting this morning. Thrilling stuff.
With that, I'll get back to the clubhouse. It's good to be back. Now, if I could only get this seat adjusted.
