Late night West Coast action

Good morning. The split-squad Nationals traveled 90 minutes to Winter Haven last night -- all for 5-1/2 innings of rain-shortened baseball. Indians 3, Nats 2, salvaging a day-night split for the Tribe.

Jason Bergmann: 4 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K

Justin Maxwell homered, Ronnie Belliard 2 for 3 with a double (this guy is raking this spring) and Pete Orr also went 2 for 3.

We've got the fallout from the WMP injury in the $.35/$.50 edition, as well as the fascinating tweak/overhaul that just might change Matt Chico as a pitcher.

Another nice meal last night at The Fat Snook. And the NJ faithful have discovered the place, too. Ran into some nice folks there last night. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend down here.

Dodgers at Space Coast Stadium today. Supposed to be another beautiful one. I'll get you lineups and news within the next couple hours.

This new Chico leg kick intrigues me. How many more starts will he have before the rosters get trimmed again? Will it be enough starts to earn him the spot over Perez/Lanan (if he pitches well, that is)?

Down in Sarasota with high school team. Wishing I was a Pirates fan like my daughter (Not). Almost snuck over to Winter Haven last night for the second half of the game. Looks like I made the right decision.

Barry could you get the WP to reactivate the Time Warp again so I can make the 5 hour round trip (minus the actual game) in the three hours I have off between workouts/games? If not just send the NJ Lear jet over to Sarasota airport, I'm the one wearing the Nats hat and shirt.

So close and yet so far!
