They wait all of one inning at Shea to play this...

Meanwhile, a Mackowiak sac fly to center drives in Nick Johnson, who'd reach on an error. One-one game, and the strongest side on the field is still Mother Nature.

These guys are killing me. This is starting to hurt like a loss by the Terps, or the Redskins.

Can you hear Elijah Dukes leading the cheers fron the Nats Dugout (on the MASN feed)? He's got the whole bench clapping.

This guy is pitching like crap and the Nats still can't take advantage.

Yo...Chico,
What's the mood in "the room"? We ever gonna get out of this funk?
BTW, ever been to Myrtle Beach?
Check out the music by my favorite local band, thenecessaryband.com

@Wigi,
The spirit on the club, at least outwardly, seems to be good. Good grief, a 120 foot double by Alou.

Here we go again. Does Figueroa have to run around the bases for them too!

I clicked (I'm a sucker for those fancy-shmancy links). What a nice little ditty. Oh wait, that was meet the Mets, not beat the Mets? Whoops, it seems that our guys misunderstood. Never mind.

What ever happened to that "Nuts About the Nats" song? They were playing it on the long (Pirates/Cubs) homestand, but I don't remember hearing it by the Marlins series.

First of all, Chico, welcome. Barry was terrific so you have some big shoes to fill. But today I am intrigued by Figueroa's trash talk. It strikes me as extremely unusual in baseball today. Am I wrong? Does this go on all the time and is unreported? "Like a girls' softball team?" In football, this is classic bulletin board material. Is it possible that this will raise the hackles of the Nationals? A "last place team" that knocked the Mets' sorry asses out of the playoffs last year?
