The scene: First pitch was 1:10. We've got blue skies and blue stands.

I just turned and asked Dave Sheinin, sitting to my right, how many people he thinks are here right now.

"Wow," he said, appraising the empty seats. "Maybe 1,000."

It's so quiet here that you can hear Charlie Slowes' voice echoing from the upper deck concourse.
