the earners must have finally realized that they blew it big time the way they have run this team the past two years. cutting the prices of some seats next season is a start. but the earners have lost all the postive momentum they had when they took control of the nats.grampa boz said it best in his chat last week - they have to re-court the fan base before it's too late.

I mean, I've heard they micromanage the hell out everything, but I don't think they write their own surveys (do they?).

ce, I doubt the Nats wrote this survey. Mu guess is they commissioned a survey with the following directions: we want to know whether or not season ticket holders are likely to renew, and if there is some indication that a person might not renew, we want to know as much demographic info about the person as possible, and as much as possible about why they might not renew. The survey is premised completely on whether or not you intend to renew, if you say that you will be renewing it jumps to the end, but if not it gives you more and more specific questions along the lines I outlined--i.e., why not and tell us about yourself.

It feels like September 2007 again! Was the last year just one long nightmare?

You know, I really have to feel sorry for Dmitri Young right now. As Chico said, he really has nowhere else to go. He has to know that his career as a ballplayer and indeed his very life are highly at risk, and no one can help him but himself. Only he knows if he's doing everything he can or should be doing to help himself, but I have to think he must be. And if for whatever reason he's not, I for one blame his disease and not him for that. None of us can know the struggles he's going through right now, and while the $5M is nice to have it's not really going to make a difference one way or another in how this all turns out for him. He needs our support, not our jeers.

Well, they do need to be worried, IMO, but this survey thing could just mean they finally hired someone with half a clue.
