Bernadina Sent Home
Bill Ladson at mlb.com is reporting that Roger Bernadina was injured while playing in the Venezuelan league and has been sent home. He wasn't exactly tearing it up, batting .175 in 11 games.
By the way, here are the fall/winter league stats for the Nationals, in case you haven't seen them. Some gaudy numbers there.

It's always well when we see you again, Cory.
Detwiler's numbers look poor.

THEIR second baseman (Bonofacio) is also having a very solid fall league. I'd still take the trade 9 out of 10...

Don't get too down on Detwiler. He gave up all of his runs in two relief appearances. 10 appearances - 8 good, 2 bad.
Anderson Hernandez's numbers with the DWL same team are better than Boni's. And the ex-Attorney General has done nothing to be indicted about. Adam Carr has looked good, and Ian Desmond has a decent OBP / OPS. Still think we might have a movable middle infielder as part of a trade.

Correction on Detweiler - 8 games, 10.2 innings. 6 good appearances and two bombs.

Good god, our 2nd baseman is having himself quite a fall - couple this with the time he spent with us last season....I'm not saying anything, but dang.
Also, decent numbers out of Rhinehart again. If Marrero doesn't bounce back from his injury, could Bill be considered our best 1b prospect? What about moving J-Max over there? Wily Mo? Oh the heck with it, just go sign Teixiera.
This is my first post since the new "sign-in format"...how goes it?
