Turkey and Teixeira ... Both Rumors

Well, no turkey for Tracee; I'm manning (womaning?) operations in the sports department today. Oh joy delicous. So I thought I'd throw up a quick "Happy Thanksgiving" to all you NJ readers and for dessert, a Teixeira tidbit.

This one's from Ken Davidoff of Newsday, one of the best baseball reporters around. He writes that the Angels are getting frustrated with their Teixeira pursuit and might throw all that loose change at Sabathia instead. This isn't the first time we've heard it, but with the holidays, even Teixeira rumors are meager.

Any word on Matt Chico or Shawn Hill?

Is Chad C getting any interest at all?

How is WM Pena?

Tracee - hope you get some late turkey. Otherwise, there's always the Adam Sandler song:

Best Thanksgiving Day baseball move: Can any beat Theo's trip to the Schillings in '03. That, and Schilling conversing SoSH on what it would be like to play in Boston.

In that spirit, Mark, feel free to sign into the Post's chat boards. Make up a name for yourself. Sbiel2 is taken, but Natsplayer1B is open, as is TeixeraTornado. Go for it. Only you might have to wait a while before anyone actually responds to your post. If you were the 3d string reserve OG on the local pro football team's practice squad, then you'd get more posts than you could handle.
