In other news, P-Nats single-game tix go on sale today. See you at the Pfitz!

Good planning. No point in demoralizing the bulk of the starting lineup this close to opening day.

I feel bad for Lannan but at least his defensive alignment looks good.

Big day for Bard and AG.
They need to win their spots on the 25-man.

[a propos of nothing important at all]:

... it would appear Barry Bonds has finally landed a job:

... and I’m especially impressed with this quote from the great Spam-bino:

“Playing for the Jackals has been a lifelong dream of mine.” Bonds stated. “I am very happy to cap off my already amazing career playing for the team I’ve loved my entire life.”

Interesting opportunity for Bard to catch the staff ace, just 5 days prior to the season opener. I'm having trouble reading the tea leaves in the bottom of the cup, but I'm guessing that it would be meaningfult to their futures if Bernadina and Maxwell had good at-bats against Halladay. And seeing Casto at 3B could be interesting to any number of teams including the Blue Jays who must rely on Scott Rolen's health again in 2009.

Mad Dog is reporting on his blog that Hernandez will start the year on the DL and the Attorney General will take his spot.

Bummer.

In a previous blog Acta referred to those players who make the trip to the Jays and Phillies as his B team. It looks like Kearns is our starting right fielder with Dukes and Willingham sitting. Acta is finally given some decent players and he sits them because Kearns hits a home run. Tell me which is the better outfield. Milledge, Dunn and Kearns or Dukes, Dunn and Willingham . I go with latter . Come on Acta wise up. Also Maxwell should be on the team with Milledge and Kearns traded.

Thanks to natscan and others for the April Fool giggles.

Interesting defensive alignment. Two good center fielders playing in the corners, and the Lastings Milledge Project in center field.

Hoo-rah!

Maybe Acta could try Orr at short, Casto at second base, and Gonzalez at third base?
