Tonight's Game Postponed
Dave is down in the clubhouse still, but I have two skeletal updates to post. Look for details soon.
First, tonight's game between the Phillies and Nationals at Nationals Park has just been called off. There's no immediate word on a make-up date.
Second, the roster move, corresponding with the Milledge demotion...
Today, the Nationals recalled outfielder Roger Bernadina from Class AAA Syracuse. Meanwhile, outfielder Leonard Davis was outrighted to Class AA Harrisburg.

There will be no double header tomorrow the did that last year w/ the cardinals only because they come to town once a year remember only about 1000 people went to it. The phils are up the road and still have 3 visits to natstowns (as they call it now).

Nice move on Bernadina.
Now, get rid of a catcher and bring up Cintron.

Why schedule a quickie doubleheader that no one will attend when you can figure out another day to play the game and invite all those nice Phillies fans to attend?
It's now 4:45 pm and the Nats' Inclement Weather Line (675-6287, press 5) still says the game will be played as scheduled. Wonder how long that will last.

There is a God. I can go to the Caps game without eating tickets to the Nats game, and by the time the game is made up (say, in September), this team is going to be playing better. Maybe Strasburg will go against Hamels in the make up game and we'll be laughing at the fact that they actually used Milledge as a starter in the opener.

I guess that they have faith in Alberto Gonzalez. Yikes. Hope they are right!

The Lerners could make more money if they played the makeup game in philly and split the beer sales! I wouldn't put it passed them...

Still overkill on Lastings. There must be something we don't know. Love Roger but he has a whole set of different Q's.

I so hope we have a doubleheader tomorrow with a nice day to boot.
