The Braves are going to have two catchers? McCann and Schafer...

tonight's lineup is built for offense only.

A braves fan who doesn't know Schafer plays CF?
It really is simple to figure out, no? Maybe you just like harassing other beat writers, though.

Piggybacking from the previous post - on Buster Olney's blog regarding the potential Strasburg contract:
"After talking with executives and talent evaluators about where these negotiations might wind up, here's one early educated guess: a six-year, $20 million deal."
If that's the ballpark the Nats take that and count themselves lucky.

Chico put a "2" next to Schafers name. BravesFan2 decided to make a screen name and be a smart ass.
We really need Guzman back. Put him at lead off and stop this.

Section138 - look, I think I know Schafer plays CF, but at the top it says Schafer and McCann are both going to be playing position #2!

No BillyBeane, the reason I was asking was because McCann told us after the game last night he wasn't going to be playing tonight, so I was just wondering...

McCann should have been an "8". Fixed now.

The "B" team at second and short tonite.

Really? McCann is playing CF?
Posted by: slewis1 | April 22, 2009 3:52 PM | Report abuse
And Schafer is catching? This could be interesting! :-)

I disagree as to "B" team characterization. Gonzales has been not hitting and making errors. Cintron has the rep. for being able to field the position. Belliard is Belliard and should bring some pop to this game. That said, of course, we need Guzman back.

Good God, I fixed the wrong entry. Sigh. Very sorry, folks. McCann is catching, Schafer is playing in center field. Again, sorry.

Glad to see Manny getting Willingham in the lineup.

Our whole infield apparently has the yips -- that throw from Hernandez last night from point-blank range that Nick had to really reach for was just scary. I don't think it hurts AG/AH to chill for a night ("AG/AH", coincidentally, is very close to the sound I make when either of them throws the ball).

Y'all quit teasing Tracee or I'm sending you to your chat rooms without your supper.

I see Anderson Hernandez and the Attorney General are both riding the pine tonight. What's that about? Is it related to the AG's plethora of errors? Hernandez hasn't exactly lit it up either.

You guys see Cintron leading off, and all you can b**** about is a mistype of a position???
