Flores Out At Least Three Months, Maybe For Season

Just got the word on catcher Jesus Flores's status. It'll be a long time before the Nats' first-string catcher -- and a big part of the future -- is back on the field.

Flores has a stress fracture in his right shoulder. The team is saying he will be out three months, maybe the rest of the season.

Flores has been on the disabled list since May 15 with a right shoulder contusion. As recently as last week ago, the Nationals were anticipating Flores to be ready within days. But while rehabbing with Class AA Harrisburg, Flores aggravated his injury, and was sent to Birmingham, Ala., for a consultation with Dr. James Andrews.

Zach Berman will have more on this soon.

Bright side ... at least they're not saying "day-to-day" and then three months later notice the stress fracture.

There are a couple of guys in the minors worth a look. Bard and Nieves ... Solano has been hitting quite a bit better than Montz. There is Montz. Don't know if its too soon for Sean Rooney? Derek Norris?

I might add a few more #@$@$@!!!@#@#@&^$&#$# to that. Pouring? The deluge is on the horizon. It makes the FO idiocy even harder to swallow.

They have some mysterious obsessions with Manny so they fire the only guy in the clubhouse who actually has experience in the majors and replace him with yet someone else who has no MLB experience.

I was having my doubts about Randy but I'd be showing Manny the door well before St. Claire. Idiots. If this is a sample of Rizzo's capabilties I think he needs to go from acting GM to actively looking for work!

Ugh - that hurts. Seems like the team has been worse off since he's left. Does not bode well for the rest of the season.

The Nats are just 3-18 since Jesus was last in the line-up. Oof.

And some more salt in the wound - they won 5 of 6 before his injury. I thought they were turning a corner during that Arizona series. Woe is us.
