Nats Extend Strasburg Ticket Special
From the official news release:
The Washington Nationals have expanded their successful $1 ticket promotion to include additional sections and seats for Friday evening's game, in celebration of signing First-Round Draft Pick Stephen Strasburg. The seats being offered are in addition to the 1,000 tickets the team originally announced it would make available. All fans interested in purchasing $1 tickets may do so by visiting the Nationals Park Main Box Office, located at Half and N Streets, SE, on Friday between noon and 2:00pm. The team will offer tickets in the LF/RF Corner (Sections 108 through 110 and 135 through 137), LF Box (Sections 103 through 107), LF/RF Mezzanine (201 through 205 and 223 through 235) and Scoreboard Pavilion (Sections 237 to 243). Tickets will be sold based on availability and there is a limit of two tickets per customer. During yesterday's online opportunity, 6,000 tickets were sold in just over three hours.

So I guess the FO feels that future season ticket sales will make up for the short-term loss of ticket revenues from this game...
