More on the Toddler's Toss
I'm sure you've seen the original footage, but this AP video and story describe how this dad and daughter have become media darlings since Tuesday's game between the Nationals and the Phillies.

This reminds me of a homerun I saw hit in the left field upper deck at RFK. The guy who tracked it down handed it to his girlfriend and then turned to high five with fans behind him and to his left. The girlfriend handed it to an 8 year old who had come down the aisle hoping to get a lucky bounce, and who then scooted back to his seat. The double take when the guy turned back to see the ball gone and the kid running up the steps, then realized what had happened, was worth the price of admission. I thought he was going to throw her back.

This video would have been better if there were more closeups of the baseball in the grass.

Hey, Natstown. I've been away and am still catching up with blog reading, but you'd best believe this one brought me out of the woodwork. I must have clicked away before that part of the game the other night, though I did watch all of last night's game, even after the salami. Re. the video, the little girl is adorable, but daddy's from South Jersey and is a Phillies fan? hmmm...
