Video: A star is born
Nationals top draft pick and pitching phenom Stephen Strasburg is living up to lofty expectations while dominating Class AA batters and getting a taste of the life of a professional baseball player in Harrisburg. Here is a video that captures Strasburg-mania and a link to Part 1 of Dave Sheinin's series, A Star Is Born.

Yep, it was a nice piece.
I have a question. In light of Sheinin's how Strasburg's financial situation was contrasted with that of other MiLB players, has he ever bought a spread for the other guys, as MLB players do on rehab starts? Might be a nice break from PB&J, and he can afford it. Inquiring minds want to know. :-)

Sigh. That's what happens when you edit online. E1a.

Again, nice work there, Dave.
I know SS isn't down there to learn how to carry his own bags, or how the other 90% lives, but maybe it is worth a few big league months to get used to working for a living. I recall several stories about Mantle, another can't-miss young phenom, with a very different set of circumstances, who could have used some acclimation time, apparently.
