Justin Maxwell's new glasses
Last week, Nationals trainers had Justin Maxwell take an eye exam, and the results confirmed what they assumed might be the case: Maxwell needed glasses.
Maxwell's glasses -- which look a lot like Tyler Clippard's -- arrived today and he tried them out for the first time during batting practice. Maxwell said they worked well, but he won't be able to tell the full difference until he uses them in a game.
The problem for Maxwell has not been seeing the strike zone. He has 11 walks this season, which has allowed for his .395 on-base percentage despite just four hits in 26 at-bats (.154). The effect remains to be seen, but perhaps improved vision will help Maxwell come closer to realizing his potential.

I'm just wondering... Have they started selling "Tyler's Clips" (plain glasses or sunglasses) at the ballpark yet? If not, what are they waiting for?
