Nationals release minor leaguer Mike Daniel
The Nationals released Class AA Harrisburg outfielder Mike Daniel, who had been with the organization since the Nationals drafted him in the seventh round of the 2005 draft. Daniel appeared in 20 games this season, one for Class AAA Syracuse, and hit .179 with no home runs and a .499 OPS.
"He just didn't develop," General Manager Mike Rizzo said. "It happens all the time. It's time for us to turn the page and give him a different opportunity to go somewhere else."
