In games started by Jason Marquis, the Nationals were outscored 26-15. Take out the minus-11 from a pitcher operating with a tattered elbow and their overall run differential becomes minus-6.
Add to this the one disaster started by Mock, who will likely never start in the majors again, the Nats break even seeing that they lost his one start 8-2.

----------------
It's a lefty - righty thing. They bunch 3 lefties in 4 spots at the top of the order. probably did not want to do it around the bottom going back to the top (8-9-1-2) too. Also, Desmond has hit righties a lot worse than lefties by Batting Average / On Base Percentage / Slugging percentage. Bernie has less pop but gets on base better vs. righties.

It would be nice to see Dunn go on a tear on this road trip. The team needs to start scoring more runs.
With some of the player shuffling going on in the minors, I wouldn't be suprised to see Morse back with the big club before they leave NYC.
