I'm gonna just sit here and enjoy this moment...

...Nats, tied for Wildcard lead, after 34 games. Whaddya think Vegas would have given me for THOSE odds, two months ago??

Kind of dreading the results of Lannan's start. Will he be the next to go 15 day DL then to the surgeon? He hasn't had good control all season so will skipping a start make that much of a difference. I understand why arm/elbow/shoulder problems are a closely guarded secret but it seems that when the underlying issue is finally revealed what also comes out is "it's been bothering him for a long time". Guess its the old pain vs. injury conundrum, hope its just pain for Lannan.

According to John Sickels, Chacin was the 3rd best prospect in the Rockies organization at the start of the year, a B+ prospect: "3) Jhouhyls Chacin, RHP, Grade B+: Projects as a very good ground ball-getting inning-eater. Those are valuable commodities."

Why is this guy up here? Don't they have some Super 2 status or something to worry about? :-)

Chacin was in the minors in 2005. He was signed as an undrafted FA in 2004. No super 2s for him.

Lannan with arm woes, Denver temps in the low 50s/high 40s.

I have a bad feeling.

Hmm. An international free agent becoming your 3rd best prospect? A novel concept for Rizzo and co. We need the international free agent stuff to be ramped up.

Guess you missed the RFer who hit the 2 homeruns yesterday. I do agree though they need more and I believe you'll see more
