Today's lineup

The Nationals will go with their standard lineup against right-hander Todd Wellemeyer, Cristian Guzman getting another start at second base. Nyjer Morgan returns to his hometown and hits leadoff. Also, it's absolutely pouring at AT&T Park, and it's not supposed to stop any time soon. Baseball is endangered.

1. Nyjer Morgan, CF
2. Cristian Guzman, 2B
3. Ryan Zimmerman, 3B
4. Adam Dunn, 1B
5. Josh Willingham, LF
6. Roger Bernadina RF
7. Ian Desmond, SS
8. Wil Nieves, C
9. Livan Hernandez, SP

It should not be raining here this late in May. Good luck guys, hope you get it in tonight.

Coming late to the Guzzie discussion...
We all have our biases, and every ballplayer (even or especially Nats' players) has his flaws, but you can bet that if Guz's hot streak continues and he reaches .400 some poster here will comment, "yeah, he's hitting .402 but it's a very deceptive .402--his OBP is only .459!"

I really hope they can get this one in - not crazy about the thought of a day-night doubleheader with the current catcher configuration. I'd rather see Maldonado getting starts against SD & HOU than being forced to use him against Lincecum.

Good lineup tonight, but Kennedy is getting pooched by Guzman's hot bat of late; Hope they can get to Wellemeyer early & often.

If they don't get the game in, then Livan will be in line to start on June 5th, freeing up June 4th for Jesus. Sounds good to me!

It still just might be June 8th. If this road trip turns into a debacle look for the later date and back to the 'development of prospects' schedule for the team.

I hope all the Strasburg watchers are playing the prop boards in Atl City, Vegas & off-shore; There's probably money to be made (or lost), and the houses certainly appreciate your business.

All this June 4 speculation (and widespread public acceptance thereof) regarding SS debut has painted Rizzo into a little bit of a corner. Like, daring him to do ANYTHING else. Wonder what his take is on all this.
