vzw fios can go to channel 1. wtf is mlb network doing?
Posted by: mkim424 | June 8, 2010 7:22 PM | Report abuse
I cannot find the game - not on MASN, not on MLB. I guess Comcast won't help me w/ MASN2.
Here's the deal - even if the kid pitches a no-hitter, we live in a third-rate sports town. And we always will.

Somebody tell me that Zimmerman doesn't live for the dramatic moment, and delivers as often as not.

I love the Blogfather, but is nobody else commenting?

and I really, really hope they don't 86 the guy who threw the Young homer back. That's either a really good fan, or someone who will really regret that later.
NO NO NO DON'T SEND HIM

Paging CiL ...
I'm hearing more commentary from the people sitting underneath the TV booth than the Post is letting through on Barry's chat. Srsly, if he's doing play-by-play, get him a color guy.

Another reason I hope Peter Angelos and his entire family slide under a gas truck and die a horrible, painful, slow death. Doue to him holding the DC area hostage as his "territory" he forced the Nats to accept a terrible deal in the creation of MASN. So I have no MASN 2 on Fios and I am forced to watch the orioles........the orioles....are you kidding! Contract the Orioles now they don't belong in the major league! The biggest baseball event in this area since Cal Ripken broke the record and it isn't on TV. Angelos I hope you have a stroke and wind up living the next 10 years wearing a diper and drooling all over yourself!

And Adam, dude, try having them spell the pitcher's first name right on your invite....no wonder Wilbon doesn't bother to live here...

I've got DirecTV and found it in HD on 641-1 and 728 in SD.
They did make me work for it though.

Move to Fairfax county like me. Channel 74 on Cox. Every game.

It's one thing to be on Fios and know going in that you're not going to get the game in HD. It's another thing when the channel lineup tells you it will be in HD on MLB, you tape it, come home, and find that it's really San Diego vs Mets. What?

Oh, and local games should be unblocked when they sell out. I'm pretty sure this one sold out.

For those with FiOS the game is on channel 1, not the usual 77---thanks to that no good Peter Angelos.
I've been following the Nats since 1953 and Strasburg is definitely the best pitcher they've ever had. That includes Bob Proterfield, the American League's winningest pitcher (22 wins) in 1953.
And it includes Tom Cheney, record-holder for most strikeouts in a single MLB game. He did so on September 12, 1962, when as a Senator, he struck out 21 Baltimore Orioles in 16 innings en route to a 2-1 victory.
Will Strasburg ever strike out 21?

I think he needs to be called Steven "Strafer" Strasburg the way he was mowing down the batters left and right.

I am sorry but I also hate this MASN lineup. Went to the game and come home to watch it, the FIOS Guide had it on 77 with pregame on 77 and of course what gets recorded but the Orioles.
They have to do a better job at this, switching back and forth between 77 and 1 is old. Just pick one and go with it.
Also, for anyone taking metro today it wasn't it's finest moment. They don't run enough trains and it's overcrowded and awful. The Metro people should be replaced and get some folks that know how to run a system. Today it took an hour and a half to go from East Falls Church to Navy Yard, they had a disable train on the tracks and waited. So I missed first pitch. Still have not seen first pitch, to go Metro from Nats Game to West Falls Church then to Leesburg took me two and a half hours tonight, on also missed first pitch on Masn encore show.
Again all Nats fans should boycott Metro until they clean up there act. In transfering to the Orange Line they had one train ever 18 minutes, a big joke.
