What a waste of money. Post Sports is crying poor when it comes to it's baseball budget--and yet they send Sheinin on the road to cover Strasburg's starts. But then, in the past all Sheinin does for that money is host one if these in-game chats. He posts no original content in this blog, and he doesn't file any post-game story about Strasburg for the paper. Seeing how Sheinin has affirmed that he is writing a book about Stras's rookie year, it seems like he is simply getting The Post to finance his book writing efforts, with little benefit to The Post itself--the periodic features about Stras that we've gotten from Sheinin are hardly worth the investment, especially when that's all that Sheinin is writing for the paper these days, and it's content for his book anyway.
On that front, isn't it about time for The Post to just shut down the Baseball Insider blog? Sheinin posts there so rarely that there's next to no reason for readers even to check it. He was sent to the All-Star game and he didn't make a single post in the so-called MLB blog. It's as if The Post no longer has a baseball writer. It has a Nats writer, and a guy who covers Strasburg but rarely writes in the paper while he works on his book.

In fairness, CIL: I'm finishing my book and can hardly find time to post to the blog anymore either ;)

CiL don't worry in about a week the Post baseball operation will be put on automatic pilot for the rest of the season.
They got to send out at least 50 writers, bloggers, photogs etc, to Ashburn to cover every move that the B&G makes from now untill last game in Jan.
