Stephen Strasburg up for an ESPY
As if Stephen Strasburg has not received enough acclaim, he's been nominated for an ESPY in the category of "Best Breakthrough Athlete." You can vote for him here. The other candidates are Baylor women's basketball player Brittney Griner, Tennessee Titans runnings back Chris Johnson and none other than a fellow D.C. No. 1 overall pick, point guard John Wall.

He probably doesn't pay any attention to anything not having to do with actually pitching in a game. But the way he seems to be, I bet he would be appalled by even being considered for any award right now, feeling he hasn't earned it. Maybe some day when the mania dies down and a reporter can actually talk to him and ask how he feels about things we'll find out.

I hope the hype-machine finds a new, shiny thing to become enamored with soon... Oh, look; a bunny!

Maybe the new shiny thing will be John Wall - or Bryce Harper?
