Is Nyjer going to be upset again and play with his big baby attitude batting eighth? I have a solution, get on base more, don't get picked off when you are on, play with some class and maybe you can lead off again. Until then, be glad you still have a job in the bigs.

Popguns at the top & bottom of the order tonight; Maybe Marquis can help his own cause tonight like Lannan did (RBI's at the plate, and another good game on the mound).

Why exactly is Nyjer back in the lineup? And please put Roger in CF even when the slappy putz is in the lineup. TFlush shouldn't see the light of day for the remainder of the season.

Prediction: Nyjer attacks the Marlins' first baseman with a machete, shouting, "I want to lead off!"

Nyger hasn't got the arm strength to carry a machete to 1B, let alone attack someone with such a wepon.

ACK - My kingdom for a proofreader! Nyjer, not Nyger, and weapon, not wepon.

Double minor for mis-spellings - Go to penalty box, hang head, feel shame.

Where's El Duque when you need him

"Misspellings" isn't hyphenated, so tack on an extra two minutes, BinM.

The additional infraction after the original penalty should have been a five minute major at the least; No worries though - I've served my time in the sin bin for now.

On a plane back to Florida, I suppose. He certainly isn't taking the bus, as that's he wanted to avoid by staying in the minors for another two weeks.

Good grief! Why is everyone in such a bad mood? We won yesterday and they resigned Livo!

I logged on for some optimism about our chances against the Marlins.

Go Nats!

It's probably that since of foreboding that steals over us every time we begin a Marlins' series. But c'mon, what can you expect but gallows humor when you see Nyjer's name back in the lineup. Dargregmag may be on to something: I might pay money to go to the ballpark just to see what that zany man will do next.

Wadda you talking about? We're all sweetness & light here - You wanna see cranky & bad moods, take a look at some of the other blogs.

It all might just stem for the fact that the Marlins have beaten the Nationals like they were a rented mule for the last three years. Everybody's just a little edgy, imo.

By the blog standards, I guess I owe you a beverage.

He probably got the idea that he wouldn't be called up on Sept. 1. I can't think of anything else. He had a 1.30 era. It's not like he was struggling.
