I get more joy in watching the Nats beat the Mets then any other team. Hoping for another beatdown today.

Shocked, and pleased, that Espy gets three starts in a row. If Kennedy's option gets picked up and he sticks around as a professional mentor to Desmond and Espy, that'd be cool. Kennedy ain't all that, but he is a pro and knows how to go about his business. He got a lot of MLB service out of what athleticism he has, we could do a lot worse with our bench (and we have).

Yes we have. Say it with me ... "Wily Mo Pena."

Article on 32 fastest fastball pitchers of all time, with Nats' implications: Dibble at 20, SS at 19 and kinda-near-miss Chapman at 5.

So, what does everyone think of the 4 for the price of 2 full season ticket offer?

I said "great deal"

First thing my friend (and fellow plan holder) said was "goodbye Dunn"

If I remember correctly, they had the same season ticket offer last year.

Also, I like how Adam Kennedy has rebounded as a starter, but he showed that he's not a utility player earlier in the season. At his age, he needs to play regularly to be effective,

Kev29,

You see a lot of sympathetic comments to losing Dunn. The posters say we have to trust Rizzo, who is building defense, and we have to be sympathetic to Rizzo's budget limitations. This is understandable, as fans love their Nats!

However, I don't see the 2-for-1 plan hurting revenue at all, since these are hard-to-sell seat locations anyway. And if revenues are not hurt, then there's no impact on Dunn. The ticket plan probably boosts revenues, if anything.

Hey Washington Post!

Is it really so difficult to provide a box score from last night's game? (9-7-10)

Any link takes me to Monday's game.

Livo vs. Dickey. The game should take over three hours just based on the additional time it takes the baseball to reach the plate!

I also see this as a way that the Lerners could not lower or raise ticket prices - but give the impression that they're offering deals. I did some quick math and you could split a season ticket in 108 (with a group of 8) and end up with 40 games for around $600. Not a bad seat and not a bad price.
