Henry Rodriguez is here, and other stuff
A few quick notes from the morning:
>>> Henry Rodriguez, the hard-throwing right-handed reliever the Nationals acquired from the A's for Josh Willingham, is finally here after a long visa delay. So long as he gets through his physical without issue, he'll probably throw a bullpen session today. Rodriguez has been throwing abroad, but the Nationals will give him time to acclimate before he gets in his first game.
>>> Tom Gorzelanny and Chien-Ming Wang will both pitch Friday during a minor league intrasquad game. Gorzelanny is still "a day or two behind" after battling illness right before spring training began, Manager Jim Riggleman said. Wang, of course, is still in the final stages of recovering from major shoulder surgery.
"It's just a little more controlled situation," Riggleman said.
>>> Corey Brown is going to be out "at least a few days" after spraining his left ankle yesterday.
>>> Josh Johnson is on the hill for the Marlins. Oh, and Riggleman said Morgan's not playing has zilch to do with last year's fracas. Behind John Lannan, these pitchers could see action today:
