Broncos List Rookie as Top RB

The Denver Broncos have promoted Mike Bell, an undrafted rookie from Arizona, to the top of their depth chart at tailback entering the exhibition season.

That's a major surprise, with holdovers Ron Dayne and Tatum Bell on the roster. One of them had been projected to ascend to the starter's role following the offseason departure of Mike Anderson.

The Broncos also have rookie quarterback Jay Cutler listed as their No. 2 quarterback, behind starter Jake Plummer but ahead of Bradlee Van Pelt.
