Bucs Extend R. Barber

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed cornerback Ronde Barber to a five-year contract extension worth as much as $24 million.

The deal probably ensures that Barber, 31, will finish his career with the team. He was entering the final season of his previous contract.

He reached his third career Pro Bowl last season and has made 103 consecutive starts, the longest active streak for a cornerback.
