Colts Unsure if They'll Have Stokley at Start of Regular Season

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Brandon Stokley is nursing a sprained ankle and the team is uncertain if he'll be able to return for the Sept. 10 regular season opener in Giants Stadium against the New York Giants.

The Colts also have some injury concerns about defensive tackle Corey Simon, who has cartilage damage in a knee and might have to undergo surgery. For now, he's attempting to rehabilitate the injury without surgery.

Kicker Adam Vinatieri has a sprained ankle, which wouldn't be all that worrisome except that the Colts just cut the only other kicker on their roster, Shane Andrus, last weekend.
