Did Someone Steal Andy Reid's Headset?
It was only one drive in the opening preseason game. But is it possible that the Philadelphia Eagles' pass-happy coach, Andy Reid, actually is telling the truth this time with his pledges to run the ball more often?
Reid has said similar things in the past without following through on it. But in the only drive that starting quarterback Donovan McNabb played tonight against the Oakland Raiders in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, the Eagles ran the ball six times and threw only three passes while marching 61 yards to a touchdown. Tailback Brian Westbrook rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown on his six carries on the drive.
Was it a sign of things to come, or just an exhibition-season tease by Reid?
