Dolphins Sign Wilkinson

The Miami Dolphins signed defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson to a three-year contract today.

Wilkinson, 33, was released by the Detroit Lions in May. Negotiations with the Dolphins intensified in recent days after the sides had spoken, off and on, for months.

Wilkinson was the top overall selection in the 1994 draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, and played for the Washington Redskins between '98 and 2002.
