Kluwe Keeps Vikings' Punting Job

The Minnesota Vikings are confident that punter Chris Kluwe is healthy after he had his rookie season ended by a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. They waived Kluwe's only training-camp competition, fellow punter John Torp, today.

Kluwe averaged 44.1 yards per punt, sixth-best in the league, last season before getting hurt.

The Vikings signed linebacker Jason Glenn, who was with the Miami Dolphins last season, and placed rookie linebacker Chad Greenway on the injured reserve list. Greenway, the Vikings' first-round draft pick, suffered a season-ending knee injury in the club's exhibition opener.
