Navies Cut Because of Bengals' Abundance of Young LBs

The Cincinnati Bengals went with youth at linebacker and released veteran Hannibal Navies.

The Bengals drafted rookies A.J. Nicholson and Ahmad Brooks to join Landon Johnson and Caleb Miller as reserves behind starting linebackers David Pollack, Odell Thurman and Brian Simmons. That created a logjam at the position and Navies was cut before Tuesday's deadline for NFL teams to have their rosters down to 75 players apiece.
