P. Holmes Placed on Chiefs' PUP List

Tailback Priest Holmes's football future became even more uncertain Monday when the Kansas City Chiefs placed him on their physically unable to perform list.

That means that Holmes must miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season, after which the Chiefs will have a three-week window to decide whether to activate him. There is doubt about Holmes's ability to continue his career because of a neck injury.
