Vikings Lose Rookie LB Greenway For Season

The Minnesota Vikings, as they'd feared, lost rookie linebacker Chad Greenway for the entire season because of the knee injury that he suffered during Monday night's exhibition game against the Oakland Raiders.

Greenway hurt his left knee during a first-quarter kickoff Monday night and underwent an MRI exam today. The Vikings did not announce details of the injury but Greenway apparently suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

He was the 17th overall choice in the NFL draft in April.
