Lions Assistant Reportedly Arrested Twice
Detroit Lions defensive line coach Joe Cullen reportedly was arrested twice in the past two weeks, once for suspected drunk driving and once for allegedly driving while nude.
Cullen was ticketed on Aug. 24 for suspicion of indecent and obscene conduct, with no explanation given as to why he wasn't clothed. He also was stopped by police on Sept. 1 and reportedly had his blood alcohol level measured at 0.12 percent, above Michigan's legal limit of 0.08 percent.
Cullen issued a statement Wednesday through the team in which he said: "I would like to apologize to the Detroit Lions organization, our fans, my family and friends for any embarrassment these incidents have caused. These incidents represent a mistake in judgment on my part. I deeply regret them and have learned a valuable lesson. It won't happen again."
