Niners Rookie TE Davis Has Broken Right Leg

Rookie tight end Vernon Davis suffered a fractured fibula in his right leg during the San Francisco 49ers' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Davis is expected to be sidelined about a month.

The University of Maryland product hurt himself while chasing Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson on a 98-yard touchdown on a third-quarter return of a fumble recovery.
