Somber Day in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH--The game between the Steelers and Miami Dolphins tonight at Heinz Field to open the NFL season comes at the end of a somber day for Pittsburgh residents.

The funeral for Bob O'Connor, the city's mayor who died Friday from cancer, took place this morning. O'Connor became the city's 58th mayor in January but was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer in July.

The late mayor's son Corey is scheduled to participate in a pregame ceremony at the stadium tonight in which he is to lead the team's fans in waving their trademark "Terrible Towels."
