Colts' Simon to Miss Rest of Season With Unspecified Illness

The Indianapolis Colts placed defensive tackle Corey Simon on the nonfootball injury-illness list today, ending his season.

The team announced that Simon, who had been working his way back from knee surgery, had been examined at the Mayo Clinic and has an illness that is not life-threatening but declined to reveal specifics, citing privacy issues.

The Colts indicated they hope Simon will be able to play next season.
