D. Branch Becoming Productive for Seahawks

Last month's trade for wide receiver Deion Branch is beginning to pay off for the Seattle Seahawks.

Branch, obtained from the New England Patriots for a first-round draft pick, had six catches for 76 yards and two touchdowns in last Sunday's triumph at St. Louis. It was his best game with the Seahawks, and he's scheduled to make his third straight start this weekend against the Minnesota Vikings.

Branch is starting alongside Darrell Jackson. Wideout Bobby Engram is to miss his second game in a row because of a thyroid problem, but the Seahawks are hopeful he'll be able to play next week.
