D. Green Ousts Offensive Coordinator

Arizona Cardinals Coach Dennis Green fired his offensive coordinator today on the heels of Monday night's come-from-ahead loss to the Chicago Bears.

Green ousted Keith Rowen and promoted quarterbacks coach Mike Kruczek to replace him.

Rowen might remain on Green's coaching staff in another capacity.

"I've known Keith for a long time," Green said, according to the Associated Press. "I have the utmost respect for him [but] we are not scoring enough points."

The Cardinals, with rookie quarterback Matt Leinart making his second NFL start, squandered a 23-3 lead in the second half and lost, 24-23, to the Bears on Monday. Kicker Neil Rackers missed a 41-yard field goal attempt in the final minute as the Cardinals lost their fifth straight game to drop their record to 1-5.

I guess the buck doesn't stop with Dennis Green? What a cop out, and what a mistake to change coordinators mid-stream with a rookie QB.
But I guess that's why the Cardinals are the Cardinals......and it almost made me forget the Redskins game....almost.
