Favre Expected to Practice Today

The Green Bay Packers expect quarterback Brett Favre to participate in their practice today and play this weekend.

Favre suffered a pinched nerve in his neck and what was described as a slight head injury, perhaps a mild concussion, during Monday night's loss in Philadelphia. But Coach Mike McCarthy said during a news conference Tuesday, just as he'd indicated following the game Monday, that the injuries are not considered serious.

Favre has started 225 consecutive regular season games and 245 in a row including the playoffs.

McCarthy indicated Tuesday that he doesn't think wide receiver Robert Ferguson suffered a broken bone in his foot Monday, as had been feared. But the injury, even if it's not a fracture, likely will keep Ferguson sidelined this week.
