Pierce Fined for Hit on Vick

The league fined New York Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce $12,500 for a hit on Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick last weekend.

Pierce hit Vick near the sideline during the Giants' triumph last Sunday. He was assessed a 15-yard penalty.

Perhaps it's time for the NFL to consider criminal charges against a player for blantant and violent behavior. Somehow a $12500 fine is chump change especially for players who can afford a hell of a lot more.

Garnish a year of his wages (millions to most NFL players) and see if the problems like this one continue. NFL like the NHL just plain suck out loud. Why bother to watch or let your kids watch professional sports when you have losers like Pierce in the game?

Pierce should have been suspended for the hit, what a dirt bag. He sure has changed since leaving the Skins.

If the league considered criminal charges for violent unsportsmanlike behavior most of the redskins would be out. Watch the tape. Pierce thought he was in. YOu're just bitter that you lost Pierce and your team is awful this year.

If he's still in the field of play he should get hit. Love mike Vick all day but when you running out of bounds you need to get out and stop tiptoeing down the sideline. Who knows he could have faked him out and kept going. Pierce was right for hitting him. NFL just wants to baby the quarterbacks these days.
