Vikings Sign B. Johnson

The Minnesota Vikings signed wide receiver and kick returner Bethel Johnson.

Johnson led the AFC in kickoff returns in 2003 as a rookie for the New England Patriots. He was traded to the New Orleans Saints this past offseason but was released before the season.

The Vikings released wide receiver Maurice Mann to create a roster spot for Johnson. They also released quarterback Drew Henson from their practice squad. He'd been signed last month after rookie quarterback Tarvaris Jackson suffered a knee injury.
