Cardinals Honoring Tillman This Weekend
The Arizona Cardinals plan to induct late safety Pat Tillman into their ring of honor during Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Tillman was killed in Afghanistan in 2004 after leaving behind his NFL career to join the U.S. Army Rangers.
The Cardinals also plan to unveil a statue of Tillman outside their stadium and are naming the walkway outside the stadium the Pat Tillman Freedom Plaza.
The team previously retired Tillman's number.

This is meant in no way to impugn Tillman's patriotism and sacrifice, but I wonder if there are any squeamish feelings in the Cardinals' organization about eulogizing Pat given the ongoing investigation into his death by friendly fire. After "selling" him to the public as a man who who died in combat with the enemy, the NFL and the Administration have been conspicously silent about the tragic--and some say suspicious--way Pat Tillman died.
