D. Anderson Appears Set to Start for Browns Against Steelers
Cleveland Browns quarterback Charlie Frye didn't participate in today's practice because of a bruised right wrist.
It seems likely that second-year backup Derek Anderson, who engineered Sunday's overtime triumph over the Kansas City Chiefs, will make his first NFL start Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I'm guessing Charlie Frye's recovery time will be more a function of how well Derek Anderson is playing, and less a function on how well Charlie Frye's wrist is healing. If Anderson plays well, Frye's wrist problems will persist. If Anderson plays poorly, Frye's wrist will heal quickly.
The Brown's are very fortunate to have a short work week. It gives the Steelers less time to study up on the tendencies of Derek Anderson.
