More T.O. Melodrama

ATLANTA--Terrell Owens was back to a soap opera-like existence Saturday night in Atlanta.

The wide receiver caught two touchdown passes in the Dallas Cowboys' 38-28 triumph over the Falcons. But the talk after the game was about Owens spitting in the face of Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall and continuing to play this season despite being told by doctors that he will lose movement in the ring finger of his right hand because of a tendon injury.

Hall said the spitting incident occurred at the end of the Cowboys' opening drive of the game.

"I lost all respect for the guy," Hall said. "That's like the number one thing in the National Football League: You don't spit in another grown man's face. Hopefully the NFL can see it and go back and watch the film right before the first punt. On third down we were kind of walking face to face, walking back to the huddle, and he just hauled off and spit in my face."

Owens acknowledged spitting at Hall during a postgame interview with the NFL Network, which was carrying the game.

"I got frustrated, and I apologize for that," Owens said. "It was a situation where he kept bugging me and getting in my face."

The incident likely will lead to Owens being fined by the league.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed after the game that Owens was told by doctors about three weeks ago after suffering his finger injury in practice that he needed to undergo season-ending surgery immediately or he would be unable to move that finger above the affected joint for the rest of his life. Owens opted to continue playing.

"I was sensitive to and impressed by how he made the decision," Jones said.

T.O. is a punk. Stop wasting our time with punks. There are plenty of real athletes in the NFL that are worth reading about. Guys that provide a positive impact on the field and within their communities.

All this T.O. garbage (sorry, that is redundant) is just sensationalism on your part to get us to read the articles.

No, I didn't read your article, just the headline. I won't be reading any of your articles when T.O. is in the headline, but I will post my opinion on him and you. This IS a blog ... the reader(s) opinion(s) of the subject and the author are what blogs are all about.

T.O. just needs to be outed in some gay magazine, so we can be done with him, and he can go somewhere and be free. I have never seen a straight guy more interested in attention and sympathy than him. The world is against him, no one loves him, but he loves the camera to tell the story.
