Payton Hopes Lighter Midweek Practice Will Produce Better Result for Saints

Not wanting his team to be complacent after a highly impressive victory in Dallas, New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton put his team through a rugged practice on Wednesday of last week. The result was a poor performance in Sunday's loss at home to the Washington Redskins.

This week, Payton is easing his foot off the pedal. The Saints had a lighter practice Wednesday, with Payton hoping his players will be fresher for this weekend's game at Giants Stadium against the New York Giants.
