Giants Expected to Name J. Reese General Manager

The New York Giants are expected to name Jerry Reese their general manager next week, an NFL source said.

Reese, the Giants' director of player personnel, succeeds the retiring Ernie Accorsi.

The Giants also interviewed three other internal candidates and one outside candidate, former Washington Redskins and Houston Texans general manager Charley Casserly. They were granted permission to interview New England Patriots front office chief Scott Pioli but he declined to interview with the Giants.
